jQuery Project: ToDo List

jQuery Project - todo list

My first complete jQuery project!

As I finished this project yesterday I finally made it over 50% complete on Colt Steele’s Web Developer Bootcamp class. I have been using this class as my main resource to learn to code and I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning to code. You can find it on Udemy! This latest project involved creating a Todo list with the Jquery library available for Javascript. I feel I got a really good handle on the abilities of jQuery finishing this project. With just a few lines of code, I was able to transform a bland HTML file into something actually “web worthy”.

Wow is this ugly or what? Basic HTML and CSS version of the project.

the jQuery code

The main javascript file contains about 20 lines of code to complete the project. Going through this project made me realize how powerful the jQuery library is. It also pieced together a lot of the javascript that we’ve been learning. I feel I have a much better grasp of javascript after this project!

Check out the ToDo list in my portfolio!

Of course, you can test out the functionality of the ToDo list in my portfolio here. You can check out my very first javascript game here.
