I should have finished these certifications a long time ago. Last night I made it through the classes for both Google Analytics for Beginners and Advanced Google Analytics! After several hours of videos and quizzes, I was able to come home with certificates for both. It would be long before I have every Google Analytics certification!
Google Analytics for Beginners
The Google Analytics course for beginners helps new users get their bearings in Analytics. You should use this as a starting point if you are interested in SEO and web analytics. The course shows new users how to create an account, implement tracking codes, and set up data filters. The course instructs you in analyzing basic Audience, Acquisition, and Behavior reports, and set up goals and campaign tracking. It should take about 4-6 hours to finish. Once pass the test you will receive a certification for Google Analytics for Beginners. I would encourage anyone who works on the internet for a living to finish this course.
Advanced Google Analytics
On to step 2! Advanced Google Analytics is a much deeper dive into the world of analytics. This class walks you through how data gets collected and processed into readable reports. There is a lot of information in this course and you can get lost in the terminology. Be patient and pay attention. The course will also demonstrate more advanced analysis techniques using segmentation, channel reports, audience reports, and custom reports, as well as marketing strategies like remarketing and Dynamic Remarketing that show ads to customers who have visited your website.
The lectures will take an additional 4-6 hours of time to complete. You will need a score of 80% or better on each assessment to earn a certificate of completion. I would strongly suggest taking your time on this test and searching for info if you’re not sure of the exact answers. I was lucky to pass both on the first try!
HubSpot Inbound Certification
I also finished Hubspot’s Inbound Certification today! In this course, you can “discover the fundamentals of inbound, the inbound methodology and the flywheel and learn how to apply them to your business. The Inbound Certification Course teaches you how to run a successful inbound business, from marketing to sales to services.” It was a much shorter course and I was able to finish in a little over one hour. You can find more about my Hubspot learning here: Hubspot certifications.
What’s up for tomorrow?
I have quite a busy week coming up. I just took on my first client web design and I still am powering through my full stack web developer course. I should also be able to finish up my third responsive design project fro FreeCodeCamp. I will have only two more to go to be fully certified for responsive web design!
